Today is the last day of the Designer Series Paper Sale. Make sure to order some today if you haven’t yet. If you are wondering what to with all the DSP you just bought, here are some ideas from Shannon West.
She calls it Double Wonder Cards (Like One Sheet Wonder but you use half of 2 sheets of Designer Series Paper). Pick 2 sheets of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper that you think go well together. (You will use both sides.) Cut them in half to 6″ x 12″. Pick out 6 sheets of cardstock in the colors that are listed on the DSP package. This will make 11 cards. Cut them in half and score 11 of them down the middle. You’ll also need a couple sheets of Whisper White, some sentiment stamps, a punch or die for the sentiments and maybe some ribbon or gems to decorate them. This adorable Treat Box from Leila Pals doubles as a gift card or business card holder. Just pull the ribbon and the card comes out the side. She used the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, Love You More Than and Ornate Frames Dies, Everyday Label Punch, Gold Hoops Embellishments and Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.
This card uses the Celebrate Sunflowers and Camouflage stamp sets, Sunflowers, Ornate Layers and Tasteful Labels Dies, Just Jade Stampin’ Blends, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
I made this card at Gloria Helmbrecht’s downline meeting using the Poinsettia Dies, Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper, Silver Foil, Metallic Mesh Ribbon and Beaded Pearls.
I made this card at Gloria Helmbrecht’s downline meeting using the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, Poinsettia Dies, Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper, Color Velveteen Paper Pack, Square Vellum Doilies and Frost White Shimmer Paint. The petals were die cut from Soft Sea Foam Velveteen Paper and sponged with Rococo Rose ink. The back of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper was colored with a Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend. The Shimmer Paint was mixed with alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer and sprayed over the whole card for a very sparkly effect that you can’t see very well in the scan.
